June was another reminder that progress looks different for everyone.

For some, it meant stepping onto the competition floor at XENOM. For others, it meant becoming a better coach, starting a new training program, or simply putting together another week of consistent work.

That's what I love about this community. Everyone has a different goal, but the mindset stays the same. SHOW UP, WORK HARD and MAKE YOURSELF PROUD.

I hope you find something in this month's roundup that helps you take the next step, whatever that looks like for you.

– Mat Fraser

MAKE JULY YOUR BEST MONTH YET

Give me two weeks to transform your training. We start Monday.

XENOM MADE ITS DEBUT

THE INAUGURAL EVENT IS IN THE BOOKS

The first-ever XENOM event brought together HARD WORKERS from around the world, and it was great to see so many members of the HWPO community take on the Decathlon of Fitness™.

Throughout the weekend, the HWPO coaching team supported athletes in the warm-up area with event-specific preparation, helping competitors step onto the floor ready for every test.

Congratulations to everyone who competed. This was just the beginning, and we're excited to see where XENOM goes next.

HWPO AT THE CROSSFIT GAMES

WE’RE CHEERING ON OUR HARD WORKERS IN JULY

We’re heading to San Jose, California, for this year’s Games, and we can’t wait to see so many of our own athletes step onto the competition floor.

We’re PROUD of every HARD WORKER who has earned their spot, and we’ll be on the sidelines cheering them on every step of the way. Check out our post celebrating the athletes competing.

And keep an eye on your inbox. We’ll be sharing how you can sign up to work out with us at the Games very soon.

SHOWING UP AT THE TWO BRAIN SUMMIT

The Two-Brain Summit brought together gym owners and coaches from across the industry to share ideas and best practices. Representing HWPO, Michele Letendre spoke about creating coaching experiences that build stronger communities and long-term member retention.

OFFICE HOURS

Our first HWPO AFFILIATE Office Hours took place in June, bringing gym owners together for an open conversation with the HWPO team.

If you missed out, don’t worry. We’re hosting another one!

On July 9, Michele and Frankie will host a live, interactive Zoom session covering constructive feedback, creating a culture that welcomes feedback, and practical ways to help coaches and athletes grow.

DON’T MISS THE GOODS FROM INSTAGRAM

We celebrated Global Running Day, pitched a ‘no screens before bed’ challenge, had HWPO GYM VT Manager Sara take over our Spotify, Coach Ste took over our Instgram page for a full week, celebrated our HARD WORKING dads, and shared a tip on how to get your double-unders locked in.

We also had a great time at XENOM supporting the crew of HARD WORKERS who SHOWED UP and threw down in Dallas.

MAT’S LAST MEAL, NEW VIDEO DROP

IF YOU COULD CHOSE ONE LAST MEAL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Sammy Moniz is back in the kitchen, and this time she is cooking up something special. Mat Fraser's ultimate last meal, made from scratch and taken straight from the pages of her cookbook, Feeding the Frasers.

Hit play, get comfortable, and come hungry.

CATCH UP ON THE LATEST FROM OUR BLOG

Here’s what you missed from our coaches this month. Catch them here:

WHY CORE STRENGTH MATTERS

– Coach Aimee Anaya Everett

When most people think about core work, they think about sit-ups. In Olympic Weightlifting, the core means something much bigger. It is the entire system that transfers force from the floor to the barbell, keeps positions intact under heavy load, and protects the spine when it matters most.

MY FIRST MARATHON: A STORY

– Coach Ste Fawcett

The marathon has a way of making you feel like a genius for the first half and a complete beginner for the second. Here is Ste’s honest breakdown of race day, what the prep taught him, where it all unravelled, and why he’s already signed up to do it again.

WHY WOMEN NEED STRENGTH TRAINING

– Coach Colette Casey

Strength training offers far more than physical strength. From supporting hormonal health and improving body composition to increasing bone density, confidence, and long-term independence.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE WORK GETS HARD

– Coach Griffin Roelle

Most athletes can move well when they are fresh, but the real test of training is what happens when fatigue sets in, the bar feels heavier than it should, and your body is telling you to cut corners.

BECOME WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE

- Coach Jake Marconi

Coach Jake explores why real progress is built through action, not motivation. From consistency and habit-building to identity and long-term fitness development, this is a look at what it truly means to SHOW UP and become the person you want to be.

YOUR TURN TO SHOW UP

You've just seen a month of hard work from this community. The training, the coaching, the people behind it all. If you've been waiting for the right time to join, this is it. Start Monday and train free for two weeks.
